An unexpected guest and aspiring rock star joined Richie last night during his performance of the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson theme song: television host and talk show mainstay Larry King!
We put together some behind the scenes footage from the show preparations, which you can watch above. You can also check out some more info at Larry’s site here:
Richie Sambora joined Access Hollywood and reporter Michelle Beadle to tour the devastation from Hurricane Sandy at Casino Pier in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. Richie was there to help bring national attention to a recovery that is only just beginning. To do his part, he is donating 100% of the profits from the sale of his special edition single ”I’ll Always Walk Beside You” to the ongoing recovery efforts of The Red Cross.
Richie has many childhood memories of time spent on the pier, and was struck by the scale of destruction. With the pier ripped apart by waves and wind, the recovery efforts to rebuild the park are projected to take many months, and millions of dollars. Offering his support to those aiding in the recovery efforts, Richie sought to bring attention to the long healing process at hand, emphasizing that the damage done by Sandy would take much longer than just a few weeks. ”This is not going to be a race, this is going to be a marathon,” he said.]]>
Richie kicked off the show with a blazing rendition of the show’s theme song alongside Craig Ferguson, and later joined Craig on the couch for the “Tweets and Emails” portion of the show. Richie closed out the show with a performance of his lead single from Aftermath of the Lowdown, “Every Road Leads Home To You.” You can watch video of the performance below:
